**Job Title:** Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer
**Job Specialty:** Registered Vascular Technologist/Echo Technologist
**Job Duration:** 8-12 week contract
**Shift:** Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00), rotating weekends every 5th weekend

**License:** Required: ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) Registered in Vascular Technology within 7 months of hire date
**Certifications:** Required: Basic Life Support
Preferred: ARDMS or CCI Registered in Echocardiography
**Must-Have:** Vascular registry is required, echo registry is preferred
**Job Description:**
- Perform all cardiac and vascular exams
- Provide clerical relief as needed
- Perform echocardiograms, including TEE & intraoperative studies
- Perform vascular studies; however, registry-eligible technologists may not perform these independently without supervision
- Conduct stress echocardiograms, TCDs, and TCOMs as applicable
- Perform EKGs, stress tests, holter monitoring, and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring
- Cover call duties as needed, with restrictions based on registry eligibility for vascular studies
- Assist with clerical and reception duties
- Complete all associated documentation
- Maintain continuing education
- Keep all areas stocked and tidy and participate in equipment cleaning
- Assume the responsibilities of the Cardiovascular Technologist Supervisor in their absence
- Adhere to organization-wide policies and procedures
- Comply with the hospital's Service Excellence Behavioral Expectations and Ethics, Compliance, and Confidentiality Program guidelines
- Perform within professional scope of practice at all times
- Other duties as assigned
**Educational Requirements:**
- Graduate of Associate Degree patient care related program (unless registries were obtained prior to 2005)
**Vaccine Requirements:**
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Required, with medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed
- Flu Vaccine: Required, with medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed
