**License:** Graduate of AMA-approved School of Radiology Technology
**Certifications:**
- ARRT Cardio Vascular Intervention or ARRT Radiography or ARRT Vascular Intervention Radiography or Registered CVI Specialist
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Preferred
**Must-Have:** Competency in all aspects of interventional/vascular procedures, patient positioning, exposure factors, and radiation protection
**Job Description:**
- Function under the direction of the Chief Technologist and Vascular Institute Manager.
- Assist in providing safe, age-appropriate care and perform all exams according to department procedures.
- Conduct a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
- Set up imaging equipment and position patients for procedures in IR, Vascular Hybrid, and Neuro-interventional settings.
- Complete VI competencies and utilize critical thinking skills.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, vascular surgeons, and cardiologists.
- Prepare patients, supplies, and equipment for procedures, ensuring sterile techniques.
- Manage documentation for supplies and procedures, ensuring quality and patient safety protocols are followed.
- Provide patient ID verification using two patient identifiers.
- Flexible with hours to meet departmental needs including on-call shifts.
- Maintain departmental records and comply with performance improvements and regulatory standards.
- Facilitate patient, family, or support system education and provide post-procedural home care instructions.
- Maintain current licenses and BLS certification, and assist with in-service training for other staff.
- Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Perform additional duties as required by leadership, ensuring privacy and comfort for patients.
