Minimum of 2 years experience working as an LPN required. LPNs must have IV skills. Licensed as an LPN in the State of Nebraska, BLS issued by American Heart Association, and IV Therapy Certification. LPN may float to VAU or TCU departments. VAU population is PEG (feeding) tubes, tracheostomy, and long term ventilator patients. Respiratory Therapy will manage vents; however, LPN needs to ensure vent is connected and troubleshoot issues. Tracheostomy experience is required.
