Travel Mammography Tech in Philadelphia, PA - Cynet Health

Summary:

• Operate a mammography unit to produce images of the breasts for diagnostic purposes under direction of a physician.
• Exhibits strong anatomy knowledge, communication, computer skills, customer service, documentation review, proficient in FDA regulation and Medical Imaging.
• Reports to the Supervisor of the Unit.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist patient to procedure room.
• Explain procedure and position patients in Mammography Machine.
• Assist patient into Mammography Machine.
• Reviews physician’s request for mammography procedure and identifies the patient per department policy.
• Obtains patient history and documents findings.
• Maintain Clean Technique.
• Operate mammography and tomography machines.
• Evaluate quality assurance performance.
• Monitor performance of mammography and images.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Two year degree in Mammography Technology.
• One year of experience as Interventional Mammography Technician in a Healthcare Setting.
• Current AHA BLS.
