- Clinical Practice Knowledge by Specialty Required: ICU & ER, Internal and External Disaster Management
- ER Required Skills (Code Management, Facility/Bed Diversion, Rapid response teams)
- ER Preferred Skills (Crisis Intervention/Management, De-escalation techniques, Emergency preparedness, Managing Assaultive Behavior, Restraints - physical/chemical)
- Legal Aspects skills Required: Confidentiality - HIPPA Compliance, Death of a patient - documentation and process, Discharge AMA, Fitness for duty, Sentinel events-monitoring and reporting, Voluntary /involuntary commitment
- Professional Knowledge/Skills Required: Incident reporting, Infection control, Isolation procedures, Knowledge of regulatory requirements- DPH, TJC, OSHA, etc., Organizational escalation process for facility, Workplace safety, Centralized staffing, Scheduling
- Professional Knowledge/Skills Preferred: Experience managing narcotic diversion, Functions as clinical expert resource, IV starts, Supervising nursing care delivered on all units organizationally, Coaching and counseling to performance standards, Federal and State scope of practice labor laws - FMLA, Promotes survey preparedness at all times, TNK, Previous Charge Experience
- Bed Management: New Admissions, Post Surgery, Post Procedures, Transfer to higher level care
