About The Position
Weekly Pay Range - $2265 To $2517 **Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Critical Care **Job Duration:** 12 Weeks **Shift:** Nights, 3x12-hour shifts per week **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum of three years of acute care experience required **License:** RN License **Certifications:** AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS **Must-Have:** CA RN License, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in manual and automated information systems **Job Description:** - Deliver safe, effective, quality nursing care according to nursing department philosophy and goals. - Utilize Jean Watson's Theory of Caring and Relationship-Based Care in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. - Develop care plans in collaboration with patients to ensure safety, comfort, hygiene, protection, and restorative measures. - Perform essential nursing skills and educate patients and families about healthcare needs. - Evaluate care plan effectiveness by observing patient conditions and communicating with patients and health team members, making necessary modifications. - Demonstrate current working knowledge and safe use of equipment, instrumentation, and medications. - Delegate tasks to care team members based on legal scope of practice and supervise nursing care provided by the care team. - Advocate for patients by initiating actions to enhance healthcare or change activities against patients' interests or wishes, allowing informed decisions. - Provide culturally competent, age-appropriate, and ethical care within legal practice standards. - Coordinate patient care activities with interdisciplinary teams, including nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals. - Ensure safe patient hand-offs through effective communication and document nursing care as per hospital policies. - Utilize information systems to improve efficiency and productivity. - Contribute positively to patient care experiences and assist in resolving complaints promptly. - Investigate complaints from physicians, employees, and patients, providing information to supervisors or clinical managers. - Perform physical duties such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and utilizing fine motor skills. - Complete annual organizational requirements for employment. Candidates must be willing to float to sister facilities and other departments as requested and suitable.
