- A hospital in Southern Idaho is in need of an RN with 3+ years of experience with Women's Services (L&D and PP) for a 13 week travel assignment.
- The nurses will be working 12 hour shifts.
- Ideal candidates must have 3+ years experience with L&D, Post-Partum, and OR Circulation / Triage.
Job Details
- Must have 3 years of L&D experience
- Must have mother baby experience- prefer 1 year
- Okay with a first time traveler.
- Must have experience and be able to attend deliveries and complete 1 hour of newborn care, triage, Circulate C/S, and provide Postpartum Couplet Care.
- Must have experience with magnesium.
- Charge nurse experience preferred.
- RN required to titrate drips: Pitocin Protocol, Magnesium Protocol, Insulin drips (occasionally)
Job Requirements
- The nurses will be working 12 hour shifts.
- Admin Supervisor on every shift.
- Charge RNs do not take an assignment.
- Do NOT guarantee Block Scheduling- cannot work 6 shifts in a row
- No minimum weekend requirement. Based on unit needs and requests
- No set requirement for travel RNs on holidays.
- No Call Required
- 7-7 shifts. Resource and Charge 0645-1845, 1845-0645
Schedule Information
- 14 LDRP beds
- 2 OR Suites for C-Sections on the unit
- 4 Triage beds
- 90 births/month, 1200/year
- Experience in attending deliveries and providing Postpartum Couplet Care crucial
- Must be able to stabilize and perform physical assessment and cares within the first 2 hours
- 1 CST per shift, 1 CNA coverage per shift subject to availability
Unit Specific Information
- Follow AWHONN Staffing Standards for ratios.
- Patients 32 week gestation and greater.
- Do not take placenta previa or placenta accreta.
- Serve a very diverse population.
- Travel duos will need 2 cars, cannot do 1 car as they could be at different sites or float during shift.
- Have a no fingernail lacquer policy - do not allow acrylic or gel nails in the dept.
