ID: 51738430 Shift: 12H Days 12 hr days Description: Unit DATE: 11/1850 mile radius rule for travelersLocal Candidates accepted - Local Rate $60 FINGERPRINT REQUIREMENT - Remote process must allow 10 days, In Person can be done at Jackson or Grenada campus the week prior to startUnit5 South hematology oncology - ONC cert NOT required but would love candidates with experience/ Manager will teach clinician how to administer CHEMO - can be a great learning opportunity- # Beds: 32- Ratios: typical ratio for all medsurg units is 1:5 up to 1:6 at times, ratio would be adjusted down for higher acuity patients- Required certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?): BLS, charge RN's have ACLS- Common diagnoses/Types of patientshem/onc, chemo- Experience or 'Must have' skills: level 1 trauma experience required. experience at a larger facility with a lot of surgeries/high acuity patients, must be comfortable with lines, chest tubes, hem/onc and chemo experience preferred- Are RNs required to titrate drips?: heparin, could have an order for amio and that can be started and then patient would be transferred to cardiac unit- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: cardiac drips on 3south only - Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: every unit has tele capability, patients are monitored on all units, central monitor station will communicate with RN, 3south tele unit also has central monitors at nurses station and every patient is on tele - Charge Nurse/House Supervisor?: Does the charge nurse take an assignment?Both. Nurse managers are in house M-F business hours, starting at 3pm M-F and all weekend there is an adult house sup. charge takes light patient assignment, will take full load of patients if needed. educator and manager for each unit. Smaller units share manager and eduacator. - Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: all units - RT Equipment (i.e., Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, vents, etc.): cpap bipap at night, RT to help, high flow on 2n, - Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling?
