Job Details
- The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience.
- Candidates must hold an active BLS, NRP and CA License.
- All gestational ages, candidates must have level 3 NICU experience.
- Being able to attend deliveries is preferred.
- MUST have 2-3 years' NICU experience and travel experience is preferred.
Job Requirements
- Shifts: 12 hr shifts, 7am-7pm, 7pm-7a.
- Weekend Requirement: every other.
- Holidays: work in with perm staff.
Schedule Information
- Unit/NICU Level: NICU - Level 3b.
- # beds: 16 beds within a year they will increase to 20 beds.
- Ratios: 1 to 1 or 1 to 3 if feeder/growers.
- EMR: Cerner.
- Charge Nurse: Yes.
- Nurse Aides: No.
- Scrub Color: navy.
- Tele/Monitor tech: phillips, no monitor tech.
- Strips: NO.
- Drips: anything.
- Vents: Aveya, bubble cpap, vapotherm, oscillator.
- Neonatologist in house: on call - 2 full time and one part time.
- IV Team: No.
- RT 24/7: yes.
- Pharmacy 24/7: yes.
- Floating: float to L&D to care for babies or to postpartum to care for babies.
- Floor specific orientation: 2-3 shifts.
Unit Specific Information
- BLS, COVID Vaccine Required, NRP.
- Spanish speaking nurses is preferred.
- Experience with: premies, sepsis, cooling-exp with cooling preferred, substance abuse/withdrawal.
