Certification Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- BMT(14 & 15W James) - Oncology - D/N OR NIGHTS - CHEMO CERTIFICATION REQUIRED / Mixed acuity PCU and MS unit
- No set schedule, no set weekends, no block schedule. The facility determines the complete schedule, which may include working every weekend. Must be flexible. Maximum 1-2 days RTO (Requested Time Off).
- Experience: Must have MS and oncology experience in checklist (1 year minimum)
- Patient Diagnoses: Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), Acute Myeloid Leukemia (Adult), Amyloidosis, Aplastic Anemia, Chronic Leukemia, Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL), Chronic Myeloid (Myelogenous) Leukemia, Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, Myelodysplastic Syndrome, Myeloproliferative Disorders, Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
- Special Procedures/Unit Details: Autologous Transplants, Syngeneic Transplants, Allogeneic Transplants, CAR-T Therapy
Job Details
- Experience required: 1 year minimum MS and Oncology experience
- Experience with Telemetry monitoring
- Ability to interpret dysrhythmias
- Capable of using Rapid Response Teams
- Experience in feeding tube care and management
- Experience in blood product administration
- Skillful in central line blood draw and peripheral line care/management
- Ability to manage PICC lines
- Knowledge of Nasal cannula administration

Schedule Information
- Mixed acuity PCU and MS unit
- Autologous Transplants: Patients receive their own stem cells
- Syngeneic Transplants: Patients receive stem cells from their identical twin
- Allogeneic Transplants: Patients receive stem cells from their sibling, parent, or an unrelated donor
- CAR-T Therapy
Unit Specific Information
- Residency Declaration Form required if using a compact license from any state other than Ohio
- Check UD/Unit Cost Center Link to determine certifications required per unit
- AHA only (Instructor/Provider and RQI acceptable), letter of completion not acceptable
- Travelers can renew ACLS and BLS at the facility (instructions provided by Lead CL)
- Required Certification for ER, ER OB, and ER Psych
- Surgical Technologists: National cert not required
- License Verification required within 30 days of start
- Dress Code: For candidate to review and initial via DocuSign
- EPLS/GSA/SAM required monthly
- Ohio State (Travel) – Confidential Fraud Waste Abuse and Compliance Reporting Mechanism Form
- Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Training Certificate required
