**Job Title:** Physical Therapy Assistant - Licensed

**Shift:** Days 5x8 Hr
**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 per week
**Experience:** No minimum years of experience required
**License:** Current license from the State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Physical Therapist Assistant or eligibility to sit for the state license
Must obtain license within six months of hire.
**Certifications:** Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association is required upon hire.
**Must-Have:**
- Associate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Proficient in English (Speaking, Reading, Writing)
**Job Description:**
- Work under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist to carry out treatment plans developed in accordance with physician orders.
- Provide supervised treatments using modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, hot and cold packs.
- Assist with patient transfers, exercises, and walking.
- Offer input to the therapist concerning the effectiveness of treatments, adjustments to the treatment plan, and any adverse reactions.
- Document patient progress accurately in the chart, ensuring co-signature by a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Administer motorized traction to relieve neck and back pain.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain effective working relationships with staff and communicate effectively with patients to encourage them to take responsibility for their treatment and development.
- Prioritize work effectively, and have knowledge of computers and physical therapy equipment
This position requires a strong understanding of the principles, practices, and techniques used in physical therapy and the ability to adapt equipment to meet patient needs.
