Job DetailsSleep technologists, also known as polysomnographic technologists, work with physicians to evaluate and treat sleep disorders by performing sleep studies on patients.They record clinical data such as brain activity, heart rate, breathing patterns, and blood oxygen levels while patients sleep.They then use this data to develop reports that physicians use to diagnose and treat disorders like narcolepsy and sleep apnea.
