Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

Location: Carbondale, IL

Virtus Healthcare Staffing seeks a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our partner hospital's Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) in Carbondale, IL. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a specialized surgical setting, providing critical care to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perfusionists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform pre-operative assessments, including obtaining medical histories, administering medications, and preparing patients for surgery.
• Circulate in the operating room, managing supplies and equipment, monitoring patient status, and documenting care.
• Assist with post-operative care, including monitoring vital signs, managing pain, and providing patient education.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of Illinois
• Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience preferred
• BLS/BCLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and surgical procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented and organized

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts
• Call required (specifics to be discussed during the interview process)
