**Job Description:**
- Prepare procedure room and patient for all studies, ensuring equipment is disinfected after each patient following cleaning policies and protocols
Manage dirty linen and monitor patient flow for efficient daily operations.
- Educate patients about ordered procedures and address any related questions
Obtain patient history and written consent for exams, verify information, and check for appropriate ICD-10 codes
Utilize patient safety screening/consent forms to ensure safety precautions are in place.
- Perform procedures according to established protocols, position patients appropriately, select necessary equipment based on patient age and capabilities, and monitor patients during procedures
Notify the radiologist of any reactions or problems and assist them as needed, while minimizing patient discomfort.
- Demonstrate competency using all general diagnostic imaging equipment
Ensure quality images by reviewing or sending to the PACS System, with imaging QA errors kept under 2% per month.
- Run a daily pending work report to ensure all exams are properly charged, and track PACS and HMR errors for PI reports, maintaining an individual error rate below 2%.
- Maintain adequate supplies, ensuring rooms are stocked at the start of each shift and throughout the day
Report any items below par level to the designated person.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
