**Job Title:** Surgical Technologist II
**Job Specialty:** Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)

**Shift:** Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:00)

**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years in recent acute care hospital experience
**License:** Valid State License required
**Certifications:** BLS, CST preferred
**Must-Have:** Strong Ophthalmology and/or Neuro and Spine skillset, Travel experience
**Job Description:**
- Participate as a member of the perioperative team under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Perform direct and indirect perioperative tasks for patients undergoing surgical and endoscopic procedures.
- Assist anesthesia personnel and primarily serve in the scrub person role.
- Engage in planning and provision of perioperative care for patients across various age groups.
- Work on a flexible schedule as assigned, with weekend shifts on a rotating basis
- Assist in selecting and preparing supplies and equipment for procedures utilizing physician's preference list.
- Set up operating room beds and specialty tables, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are secured.
- Provide competent scrub services for both minor and major surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons during operations, including but not limited to retracting, camera holding, suctioning, and suture cutting.
- Participate in postoperative duties such as patient transfer and operating room sanitation.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert for at least one surgical service.
- Assist with maintenance of physician preference lists and specialty instruments.
- Report defective materials or unsafe conditions to superiors.
- Participate in continuing education and contribute to organizational goals and objectives.
- Uphold safety and confidentiality standards, complying with relevant policies and procedures.
