Treasury Officer, Japanese skills req'd (S) - CareerVite, LLC

Major international financial institution is looking for Treasury Officer. Japanese communication skills required.

SUMMARY

Assists the Treasury Senior Manager by overseeing analytical and administrative functions, performing money market and foreign exchange transactions, and keeping up to date with market and economic developments. Also fulfill project-based tasks by leading requirement gathering and testing initiatives for Treasury /FX products.

MANAGEMENT/ SUPERVISION

Manages one to two direct reports in Treasury.

JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assists in overall management of the Treasury department.

2. Executes money market transactions for cash deposited from custodial customers.

3. Manages cash projection processes and propose future strategies.

4. Executes foreign exchange transactions for custodial customers.

5. Leads foreign exchange product and system enhancement initiatives, including creation and review of user acceptance test cases for system enhancement.

6. Analyzes the Treasury’s monthly operations, performance and proposals for future strategies of money investment, foreign exchange and securities investment.

7. Conducts monthly Treasury meetings and quarterly Treasury Committee meetings.

8. Keeps the related departments and senior management up to date regarding developments in the Market place.

9. Assists in analyzing the compliance, regulatory and/or risk management issues with respect to Treasury.

10. Assists in managing the correspondence with customers and counterparts.

11. Updates various policies, procedures and manuals.

12. Maintains and updates the account profile of the customers and counterparts.

13. Oversees periodical reporting and other day-to-day correspondence with counterparts.

14. Enhance employee’s knowledge and understanding of job responsibilities through continuous communication and on the job training. Training should focus on establishing high quality/accuracy of work.

15. Performs all functions as assigned by manager.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or finance.

2. 7+ years’ experience in the financial industry.

3. Excellent communication skills. (Japanese is a plus)

4. Good knowledge basis of legal, tax, and/or accounting principles.

5. Strong PC spreadsheet, database, and word processing skills.

6. Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

7. Strong writing skills.

8. Good knowledge of international business.

9. Good knowledge of global custody, securities lending, and securities investment.
