Primary responsibilities:
- Manage the team of Treasury Onboarding Specialists and our Treasury Training Manager
- Engage with commercial customers by collaborating with Treasury Sales Officers and provide support throughout sales and onboarding process
- Support commercial customers with the implementation, training, and onboarding of their Treasury Management products
- Identify opportunities, coach, and train both employees and customers on Treasury Management solutions

Your day to day as a Treasury Onboarding Manager
Your expertise in leveraging technology will enhance the onboarding process, allowing customers to utilize our suite of Treasury Management solutions effectively. Each day presents new opportunity to enhance workflows, streamline operations, develop and invest in your team, all while maintaining a high level of service for our commercial clients. If you are organized, technologically inclined, and eager to foster collaboration, this role serves as a platform to impact the employee and customer experience.

By implementing our Treasury Management solutions, we help these customers operate their businesses as efficiently and securely as possible, providing a sense of accomplishment each day.
What we're looking for in a Treasury Onboarding Manager
To thrive as a Treasury Onboarding Manager at Mercantile Bank, candidates should possess a minimum of two years of management experience, ideally in a banking environment or a service-focused industry. A strong background in implementing solutions for clients, with a preference for those familiar with Treasury Management. A high aptitude for technology and the ability to learn new systems is vital, and experience with Treasury Management platforms is preferred. A bachelor's degree in a business-related field is strongly preferred, though equivalent work experience may substitute. Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is a professional demeanor.
Additionally, strong leadership abilities, including motivating teams and problem-solving, are crucial for fostering a collaborative environment. A continuous improvement mindset and a knack for finding efficiencies will enable you to streamline processes and enhance the onboarding experience for our valued commercial clients.
- A minimum of 2 years managing a team
- Experience with client training and onboarding
- A high aptitude for technology and learning new systems
- A bachelor's degree in business related field strongly preferred (or HS Diploma with equivalent work experience)
- Ability and desire to work in an office environment M-F 8am-5pm (with flexibility as needed)
