Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in the preparation and filing of probate and trust administration documents.
- Draft, review, and file legal documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and estate planning documents.
- Conduct legal research related to trust and estate matters.
- Manage and organize client files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accurately maintained.
- Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, and financial institutions to gather necessary information and documentation.
- Coordinate and assist in the transfer of assets, including real estate, investments, and personal property.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of estate and trust transactions.
- Assist with the preparation of estate tax returns and other tax-related documents.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, court appearances, and client consultations.
- Provide administrative support to attorneys as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, focusing on trust and estate law.
- Strong knowledge of probate and estate administration procedures.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
