SCHEDULE: FRI-SUN (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
What You'll Do
This position is a full-time permanent position in a manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for assisting in the manufacturing of charitable and lottery gaming products, including pull-tab tickets (break-open tickets) and bingo paper.
The 2-Way Operator will be responsible for production of finished slit tickets at International Gamco or American Games. Key duties include efficient operation of the 2-way slitter and team building. This role also includes review of game documentation and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Operate and maintain 2-Way slitting machines preparing product for production printed in the International Gamco or American Games plant
- Setup per game documentation bible system and review schedule.
- Check for correct label information per documented procedures.
- Monitor and operate equipment, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues, and maximize overall equipment efficiency for production rate, first time quality and downtime
- Make adjustments and perform necessary pre-operation and/or shut down activities to ensure equipment is properly functioning
- Identify and correct machine problems, making corrections quickly to avoid expensive losses
- Ensure product quality by conducting inspections, monitoring and adjusting machine output settings, and conducting basic quality control and assurance tests
- Ability to communicate effectively to all team members
- Drive quality standards and operational efficiencies, offering recommendations for improvements, as you contribute directly to overall plant operations
- Follow all work safety policies, programs and guidelines
- Ensure time sensitive work is monitored effectively to meet internal and customer deadlines
- Ability to understand how new jobs might run on the equipment and how we can make the process as efficient and cost effective as possible
- Assist in review of upcoming jobs and coordinate with leadership to make any required changes to the finishing specifications
- Other duties as assigned
What You'll Need
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate's Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- 2 to 4 years' technical training / experience in area of responsibility
- 3 to 5 years' experience in machine operation or experienced helper
- Die cutting and printing experience for Webtron-Web Press Operators
- Ability to direct subordinates, if applicable
- Troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to objectively review information pertinent to position
- Effective in time management with the ability to handle multiple tasks in an organized manner within a fast paced environment
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to apply strong attention to detail and produce work with accuracy
- Ability to work well in a diverse environment
- Must be a US Citizen/Green Card Only
