Job Description
The Dr. Charles P. Darby Jr. Department of Pediatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a Pediatric Endocrinologist at the Associate Professor or Professor level to serve as the Division Chief to the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology. Currently the Division includes five faculty members, one advanced practice provider and many other support staff including social workers and dieticians.
The MUSC Pediatric Endocrinology program is recognized throughout the community for its expertise. It provides consultation for clinics at MUSC Health in downtown Charleston as well as MUSC Health outreach clinics. Faculty have access to collaborations with bench researchers in the Darby Children’s Research Institute located on campus, one block from the children’s hospital.

- Qualified for Associate or Professor rank in Pediatrics
- Board Certified by the ABP
- Commitment to MUSC’s educational missions
- Eligible for licensure in South Carolina
- Record of achievement in individual research or scholarship
- Demonstrated success in developing clinical, research, or educational programs in an academic health center
- Record of mentoring trainees and/or junior faculty
- Budgetary experience leading a clinical, research, or educational entity that would translate well to supervising a large division
