Work Shift: Wed-Fri (7 AM - 7 PM / 7 PM - 7 AM)
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients and explain procedures to ensure their comfort and understanding.
- Conduct diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures in accordance with established standards.
- Support radiologists during interventional procedures, such as paracentesis and needle aspirations/biopsies.
- Maintain accurate records and assist with scheduling to facilitate efficient patient flow.
- Oversee the maintenance of ultrasound equipment and supplies, keeping the work area organized for optimal efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or Ultrasonography required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Certifications: Must be certified in one of the following (within 10 days of hire):
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Sonography (S) or Vascular Sonography (VS)
- ARRT (R) with a KY License
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
- Cardiovascular Credentialing International Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
- Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
