Ultrasound Technologist

Location: Georgetown, KY

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to join our partner hospital in Georgetown, KY. This role involves performing a variety of ultrasound examinations to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients of all ages.

Responsibilities:

• Patient Interaction: Greet patients, explain the ultrasound procedure, and ensure their comfort throughout the examination.
• Diagnostic Imaging: Conduct ultrasound examinations using various modalities (e.g., abdominal, obstetric, vascular) as ordered by physicians.
• Equipment Operation: Operate ultrasound equipment, adjusting settings to obtain high-quality images.
• Image Analysis: Assist in identifying and documenting relevant findings for physician interpretation.
• Workflow Management: Maintain patient flow, assist with scheduling, and keep accurate records.
• Procedure Assistance: Assist radiologists during interventional procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or Ultrasonography. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Certifications:
  • Must be certified in one of the following within 10 days of hire:
    • ARRT (S) (Sonography)
    • ARRT (VS) (Vascular Sonography)
    • ARRT (R) with a KY License
    • RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer)
    • RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer)
    • RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist)
    • RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
    • RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) - CCI
    • RCCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) - CCI
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification within 30 days of hire.
