Seeking an Ultrasound Tech for a 75 bed Short Term Acute Care Medical Center

Receives patients, explains method of procedure and makes sure patient is comfortable.

Provides patient services to all ages using imaging modalities.

Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.

Maintains equipment and supplies and organizes work area.

Keeps accurate records, helps with scheduling of the ultrasound and keeps patient flow smooth.

Assists radiologist with interventional procedures as ordered. (eg; paracenthesis, needle aspirations/biopsy, etc.)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education

Associate’s Degree Required

Graduate of a Program in Radiologic Technology or Ultrasonography Required

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Required Skills

Certifications:

Must be certified in one of the following: (within 10 days of hire)

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT Sonography (S)

Vascular Sonography (VS)

ARRT (R) with a KY License

Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)

Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)

Cardiovascular Credentialing International Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)

Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)

Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS)

Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire

Must-Haves

Must be open to fulfilling call requirements (listed in description)

Graduate of a Program in Radiologic Technology or Ultrasonography

Associate’s Degree

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT Sonography

5RRT (R) with a KY License

2 Schedules Available- please indicate candidates interest when submitting 

Option 1

8:30a-5p- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

will take call: 1 day a week, 1 weekend a month

Option 2

7a-7p- Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

will take call: 1 day a week, 1 weekend a month
