Position Summary

Exercises independent discretion in handling uninsured motorist (UM) and/or underinsured motorist (UIM) claims.

• This is a remote, work from home position with the successful candidate residing within the state of Pennsylvania.
• The ideal candidate will have UM/UIM, complex liability, and/or litigation claim handling experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

Conducts investigations, evaluates and makes recommendations regarding coverage and liability.

Sets and maintains appropriate reserves.

Handles litigated files. Attend depositions, arbitrations, mediations, court proceedings and trials.

Reviews and analyzes medical records to evaluate UM/UIM bodily injury claims to negotiate settlements.

Trains and mentors.

Completes required training.

Travel for training may be required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required;

Associates or bachelor's degree preferred.

Five years' casualty claims adjusting experience or equivalent experience in the medical or legal field required.

Completion of the Associate in Claims (AIC) program or Senior Claim's Law Associate (SCLA) preferred.

Valid driver's license required.

Travel may be required.
