Our Urology department provides comprehensive care across Riverside, Moreno Valley, and Murrieta, fostering a stimulating and supportive atmosphere for professional growth through a variety of subspecialties.

Department Size: 10 Urologists

1. 2 General Urologic Surgeons
2. 4 Robotic Surgeons
3. 1 Infertility Specialist
4. 1 General Urologist with an interest in Pediatric Urology
5. 2 Reconstruction and Female Specialists

Highlights:

1. General Urologists are expected to see a broad range of cases.
2. Involves general Urologic procedures with access to robotic systems.
3. Travel Time: On-call Urologists may need to travel between Riverside and Moreno Valley hospitals and to other clinic and surgery sites in Moreno Valley, Murrieta, and occasionally Ontario Vineyard ambulatory surgery.
4. Call Schedule: Approximately 1 in every 10 nights and weekends, with compensation for callbacks and extended duties.
5. Virtualist Coverage: Provides primary call Monday through Friday, 9 PM to 7 AM.
6. Post-Call Duties: Hospital duty time in the afternoon after call nights, with no outpatient clinical responsibilities.
7. Operating Hours: Clinic hours generally start between 7 AM and 8:30 AM and end between 5 PM and 7 PM, with flexible scheduling options based on staffing availability.
8. Teaching Opportunities: Optional teaching opportunities with Family Medicine residents. Also, opportunities available with Kaiser Permanente Medical School and University of California Riverside Medical School, typically involving an application process.
9. Board Certified or Board Eligible.
10. Required: Proficiency in general Urologic surgery, including endoscopic, open, and basic laparoscopic procedures.
11. Preferred: Experience with robotic surgery (though not mandatory).

About the Area:
Riverside County encompasses an area known as the Inland Empire. It also includes the greater Palm Springs/Coachella resort area. Riverside features an extensive range of relatively affordable housing options, notable schools, and outdoor recreational opportunities. The county encapsulates a small-town feel with local attractions including seasonal fruit picking and local wineries.
