About the Job
Crystal Clean (CC) is a leading environmental waste services company headquartered in Hoffman Estates, IL. As a member of the Senior Management team, the VP of Operations is directly responsible for the overall operation and service level of all CC waste processing facilities including hazardous, non-hazardous and antifreeze operations. The VP of Operations will have overall P&L responsibility and develop, implement, enforce, and monitor company goals and objectives, policies, and procedures.

- Collaborate with COO in setting and driving organizational vision, operations strategy, and hiring levels.
- Plans, organizes, and manages the activities, budget, and personnel for all assigned facilities.
- Develops metrics and monitors performance and take corrective measures when necessary.
- Plans and coordinates operational work activities; organizes, prioritizes, and assigns work; monitors status of work in progress and inspects completed work; consults with assigned staff, assists with complex/problem situations, and provides technical expertise.
- Develops capital budgets and manages capital projects to ensure that the company achieves investor targets for growth and profitability
- Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all facilities.
- Develops and implements maintenance programs, standard operating procedures, and quality and productivity improvement initiatives to improve services, efficiency, and effectiveness of Operations.
- Deals with public concerning problems and complaints; and provides solutions and answers to questions, comments, and concerns; maintains good public relations.
- Working with EH&S in support of a robust audit program to ensure compliance with national, state and local environmental regulations, and take appropriate corrective action when necessary
- Analyzes work progress records, efficiency of equipment and facilities, and drives continuous improvements.
- Interprets, applies, and ensures compliance with all applicable codes, laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures; initiates any actions necessary to correct deviations or violations.

- 15+ years' experience minimum
- 10+ year's Industry experience
