Osaic has returned to a hybrid work schedule, so we are seeking candidates willing to work a split schedule between home and the office.
Role Type: Full-Time
Salary: $185,000 - $210,000 per year + annual bonus
Actual compensation offered will be determined individually, based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.

Summary:
Osaic is seeking an experienced VP, Product Engineering to lead the back-office technology functions across key areas, including compensation, compliance, and supervision. In this role, you will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Advisor, Backoffice and Data Engineering overseeing a cross-functional team of 40-50 members, including engineers, testers, analysts, scrum masters, product owners and engineering managers and a significant portion of this team is composed of contracting resources.
The ideal candidate will drive people management, IT product development, delivery management, and engineering excellence. They will be expected to build high-performing, highly engaged teams that are agile and results-driven. Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills are critical, as the VP will work closely with both technical and non-technical leadership and regularly interact with executive teams..
Responsibilities:
People Leadership
Develop a talent strategy, including acquiring, nurturing, and retaining top talents, while expanding the engineering organization both within and outside the United States.
Embrace a servant leadership role, motivating and guiding the team, fostering the growth of leaders within the organization.
Optimize team organization, remove bottlenecks and potential single points of failure, and establish comprehensive succession plans across all organizational levels.
Offer recommendations related to compensation, performance management, employment decisions, and staffing.
Effectively manage consultants and vendors to ensure compliance with plans and contractual commitments.
Product Management & Delivery
Strategic Product Vision: Define and drive the product strategy, aligning technological capabilities with business objectives and market demands.
Product Roadmap Ownership: Develop and manage a clear product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on business impact, customer feedback, and technological innovation.
Instill and oversee the adoption of effective agile standards and provide guidance to the team in managing multiple complex deliveries.
Implement and monitor various Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure efficient team operations.
Foster a culture of continuous innovation by ensuring the integration of cutting-edge technologies and best practices
Deliver concise executive updates to the senior management team.
Skillfully manage and mitigate risks and issues.
Coordinate resources and activities to achieve maximum productivity.
Guarantee appropriate resources and system quality to uphold published service levels and system availability.
Stakeholder management
Collaborate with peers in the Product and Technology organizations, earning their trust and influencing them to align with the end-state architecture.
Act as a bridge between the engineering team and business stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and alignment of goals and priorities.
Foster a culture of transparency and open communication, encouraging feedback from stakeholders and using it to improve processes and product development.
Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and third-party service providers to optimize relationships and leverage external expertise when necessary.
Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies, providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders for strategic planning and decision-making.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required, or foreign equivalent, in computer science or related field, or compensating industry experience may be considered.
Basic Requirements:
12+ years of technology experience, including at least 6 years of managing projects and supervising teams of 40+ members directly or indirectly.
Experience dealing with complex data, running queries, and analyzing data to provide meaningful insights and recommendations that support strategic business decisions.
Experience in managing financial responsibility for project or area budgets.
6+ years' experience with Agile Software Development at the enterprise level, and familiarity with Scaled Agile frameworks.
6+ years' experience using tools such as ADO or JIRA for project tracking and management.
Ability to perform cost-benefit analysis and economic feasibility studies and manage across multiple systems and projects.
Technical management background with expertise in matching business strategies with cost-effective technical solutions.
Experience in Test-Driven Development practices.
Familiarity with financial services, especially Financial Broker Dealer operations, is a plus.
Ability to manage and foster team interaction between core development teams globally.
Strong project and people management skills, with proven leadership, coaching, and communication abilities.
