Position: VP of Human Resources
Company: Our client is a prominent fashion brand and e-commerce company based in Beverly Hills. They are seeking a VP of Human Resources to oversee day-to-day HR operations, enhance HR systems/processes/policies, improve talent acquisition and employee engagement, and manage a large and growing team across headquarters and the logistics division. This is an in-office position.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and operational HR management to a team of managers, directors, and executives, aiming to transform the company’s leadership function by building trust, competency, and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team and functional leaders on day-to-day matters, employee engagement, talent acquisition, cultural initiatives, and policy adherence.
- Work with a founder-led team, offering expert advice and coaching to employees and management, and employ a solution-oriented approach to address complex issues.
- Demonstrate a self-starter and entrepreneurial mindset, enhance processes, and make decisions in a practical, efficient manner; deliver more with less.
- Partner with the General Counsel on complex employment matters, including worker’s compensation and safety.
- Implement ongoing training, mentorship, and development programs to further develop talent.
- Coordinate with the Manager of Talent Acquisition to ensure the timely recruitment of high-caliber talent, including senior-level and confidential roles.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Ability to manage HR needs for both the distribution center and corporate offices.
- 15+ years of relevant HR experience, including 5+ years in a management role.
- Experience working with staffing firms and diverse management teams.
- Desired experience in consumer products, fashion operations, or warehouse organizations.
- Curiosity, creativity, and promotion of team creativity.
- Strong understanding of California labor laws and experience with worker’s compensation matters.
- Proficient in drafting well-structured, complete, and concise correspondence and documents.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and quality control.
- Commitment to discretion and confidentiality.
