Gaudenzia is one of the largest nonprofit providers of treatment to people with substance use and co-occurring disorders in the nation. We operate in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.

Who We’re Looking For
A successful Vice President of Human Resources will be responsible for leading Human Resources. The Vice President of Human Resources will report to ther Chief People Officer, and will manage HR Partnerships, employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, total rewards and HR operations. The VP of Human Resourcers will collaborate with senior leadership on learning and development plans for supervisory staff.
Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities in this role may include:
· Manage the Human Resources department and staff.
· Provide strategic direction, leadership, and support to senior management on workforce planning.
· Take major initiatives to drive organizational effectiveness.
· Oversee an organization’s entire recruitment, interview, selection, and hiring processes.
· Plan complete employee benefits, payroll, and health and safety programs.
· Develop, update, and enforce Human Resources policies including the Employee Handbook according to all federal, state, and local labor laws and practices.
· Ensure competency-based training on all HR policies and practices with particular emphasis on supervisory staff.
· Ensure implementation of universal HR processes and practices.
· Ensure adherence to all internal policies and legal standards.
· Thorough understanding of union, labor, and employment laws for compliance.
· Devise competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs & policies for employees to retain the top talent.
· Hire, train and implement dedicated HR software systems.
· Evaluate areas of improvement and brief executives.
· Collaborate with the executive leadership to understand and align with the agency’s mission and vision.
· Develop, measure and report on Key Performance Indicators
· Assess organizational success and market competitiveness based on KPIs and other business metrics.
· Responsible for providing guidance & leadership to the HR team.
· Guide HR business partners on employee relations, and grievance resolution.
· Keep abreast with the latest trends and changes in HR strategies globally.
· Draft and implement an overall budget for compensation and payrolls.
· Participate and represent the company in HR networking events, workshops, and seminars.
· Ensure inclusion and diversity by assisting HR business partners and the entire HR department on workforce retention programs and equal opportunity.
· Handle employee relations, discipline, and termination in accordance with agency policies.
