About the Job
Location(s): Remote within the western half of the United States
The Role: This role be responsible for customer engagement and relationships, product determination and offerings to meet customer needs, product pricing and bidding activities. They will be informed on the market fundamentals and contract structures for each customer segment. The preferred candidate will have the ability to leverage both the Company’s customer relationships, and the candidate’s existing network of C&I and utility customers as well as the ability to create new customer relationships to provide off-take solutions and direct sales opportunities.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years related experience in renewable energy origination sales
• Extensive experience with negotiating power purchase agreements and other revenue contracts agreements
• Strong record of success closing at least 500 MW of solar and/or battery energy storage transactions as the lead originator
• Must have at least CAISO and/or WECC experience, with a preference of CAISO/WECC/ERCOT
• Relationships with customers in various market segments including Commercial and Industrial accounts, Investor-Owned Utilities, Cooperatives and other Public Power clients
• Demonstrated experience with utility-scale energy procurement structures and transactions
• Knowledge of energy markets including familiarity with regulatory policies, rates and tariffs, electric transmission systems and organized markets
