Overview
The Venue and Events Coordinator (Coordinator III) is a non-exempt staff position reporting to the Director of External Relations at the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business. The Venue and Events Coordinator provides administrative and event support for the Dean's office and serves as the venue and building coordinator for event, common and academic spaces within Huntsman Hall and the Eccles Business building.
The position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, customer service skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills. He/she must also be able to adapt to changing circumstances, be a self-starter, and able to work independently.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate usage and maintenance of event, common and academic spaces in Huntsman Hall and the Eccles Business Building
* Serve as the Huntsman School's liaison to USU Facilities and serve on related campus-wide committees
* Assist in the planning and execution of Dean's office and college events
* Provide administrative support for the Dean's office and External Relations team
* Supervise student employees as needed
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
* Four years of experience; or an associate degree plus two years of experience; or a bachelors degree
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Prior experience planning and executing events
* Prior experience coordinating usage and maintenance of facilities
* Knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Experience with MS Office (particularly Word and Excel), familiarity with CRM systems
* Proven customer service skills
