About the Job
What we are looking for: Veterinary Receptionist with 1-2 years experience, to work in a veterinary hospital setting.
Skills required: The full-time position at one of our fast-paced Westwood and West LA locations is one that requires patience and calmness under pressure.
Other required skills include:
- Excellent customer service skills in Person, and on the phone.
- Front office skills require for receptionist to have knowledge of office equipment including; faxes, phone systems and computers
- Good clerical skills, including, but not limited to: File management, typing, prioritizing tasks, and organization
- Familiarity with veterinary medical terms, + medications for animal care.
Skills Preferred:
Avimark software knowledge
Hands-on experience with Avimark software, and being familiar with the functions of the software program will be on e the the strongest skillsets we look for. Our Westwood is also complemented with paper files for all our patients.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling Appointments
- Creating estimates for services per doctor treatment
- Going over estimates with clients/ explaining costs
- Posting clients out
- Receiving payments
- Going over doctor instructions regarding medications, care instructions and
- Inbound and outbound phone call coverage and returning emails and requests
