About the Job
As a Veterinary Technician with CVETS your primary responsibility is to support the hospital, and staff in the attainment of its mission. We are looking for individuals with strong patient care abilities and experience with patient triage. Critical care skills are highly valued! We need Technicians with speciality experience in Surgery, Oncology, Neurology, Cardiology, and Radiology! Aneshthesia experience/certification is a huge plus and pay will comenserate with experience. Sign on and/or relocation bonuses available for the right candidates!
Key Individual Responsibilities:

- Participate in continuing education programs with at least ten (10) credit hours in approved lectures/forums per year.

Essential Functions:
- Taking vital signs and obtaining patient medical history; Performing emergency first aid
- Specimen collection and performing laboratory procedures.
- Administration of medication under direction of veterinarian
- Radiology/Imaging skills required including X-ray’s, MRI’s, and CT Scans
- Patient preparation for surgical procedures, intake and discharge as required.
- Proactively communicate patient status to on coming shift and frequently with doctors to facilitate the highest level of patient care.
