We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Network Engineer (DMZ) to join our Technology Services Group (TSG) - Network Services team. This role is in Pittsburgh/PA, & Lake Mary, FL. (hybrid - 3 days in office per week required).
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Designing and implementing secure access to and from BNY networks ensuring security, resiliency, reliability, and scalability with considerations for both internal business unit as well as external clients and vendors.
- Responsible for both public internet and private extranet connectivity, collaboration with stakeholders both internal and external is critical to our success and achieving organizational goals. Creating secure, resilient connections which are easily adopted by our consumers, both internally and externally allows BNY to be more for our clients and run our company better.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred. 8-10 years of related experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Experience with end-to-end service design. Understanding of packet flow through the network. Knowledge of which tools to leverage and where, such as router, firewall, load balancer, proxy, etc.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing external and DMZ network solutions.
- Strong understanding of network security concepts and best practices, particularly within Cisco Nexus and Cisco ACI environments.
- Cisco ACI experience required.
- Cisco Routing: BGP / OSPF knowledge required.
- Working knowledge of firewall, load balancing, and proxies are required.
- Cisco SDWAN is a plus but not required.
- Industry and vendor certifications are a plus but not required.
- Automation/DevOps experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to manage and maintain Engineering standards including architectural standards, security and encryption standards, configuration standards, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborative with cross-functional teams to support project deliverables and operationalizing new infrastructures.
- Ability to understand business requirements and delivery a technical solution which meets organizational requirements and standards.
- Develop business cases for new technology and new products. Ability to objectively evaluate and recommend new technologies.
