Join a family-owned and operated winery, vineyard, and hotel company located in the beautiful Temecula Valley. We are known for our exceptional guest experiences, luxury accommodations, and high-quality wines. As we grow, we seek a dynamic and experienced VP of Operations to lead our multi-unit business operations, including our vineyard, winery, hotel, and event operations. We are open to candidates with experience at the C-Suite, Director, VP, or President level.
Position Summary:
The VP of Operations will oversee all day-to-day operations, ensuring each business unit operates at peak efficiency while delivering an unparalleled customer experience. This leader will play a key role in driving revenue growth, managing cross-functional teams, and upholding our brands reputation as the face of the company. The ideal candidate must be flexible, passionate, and thrive in a family-oriented environment. As a public representative of the brand, you will also be responsible for building relationships with guests, partners, and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management: Oversee and mentor managers across multiple units (winery, vineyard, hotel, and events) to ensure high performance and alignment with the companys strategic goals.
- Revenue Growth: Develop and execute strategies to drive revenue across all operational units, including increasing occupancy, wine sales, and event bookings.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure smooth, efficient operations with a focus on customer satisfaction, quality control, and adherence to company standards.
- Budgeting & Financial Management: Work closely with the finance team to manage budgets, forecast revenue, and optimize profitability.
- Brand Representation: Serve as the public face of the brand, ensuring a positive guest experience and maintaining strong community relations.
- Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, to meet the needs of the business.
- Multi-Unit Oversight: Manage complex operations across several business units, with a focus on standardizing processes while customizing guest experiences.
- People & Culture: Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and exceptional service, supporting a family-friendly work environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 7+ years in senior operations leadership roles, preferably in the hospitality, winery, or multi-unit restaurant/retail industries.
- Leadership: Proven track record of managing large teams across multiple locations or units.
- Revenue Management: Strong experience driving revenue through strategic planning, sales initiatives, and operational efficiencies.
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and schedules in a dynamic environment.
- Customer Focused: Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and enhancing guest experiences.
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L oversight.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Culture Fit: Experience working in a family-owned business is a plus, with the ability to integrate into a close-knit, team-oriented culture.
