Position Overview:

StandardAero is seeking an accomplished Vice President of Operational Excellence to spearhead our continuous improvement initiatives and drive standardization across all operational processes. This executive role will focus on enhancing our operational capabilities, ensuring the consistent application of best practices, and fostering a culture of excellence throughout the organization.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive operational excellence strategy that aligns with StandardAero’s business objectives and drives continuous improvement across all functions.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead the development and execution of continuous improvement programs, utilizing methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile to optimize processes, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Standardization: Establish and enforce standards and best practices across operational processes to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency in all areas of the organization.
• Performance Management: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure operational performance, monitor progress, and identify areas for improvement.
• Change Management: Drive organizational change initiatives, ensuring effective communication, training, and support to facilitate the adoption of new processes and practices.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with other departments, including engineering, supply chain, and finance, to integrate operational excellence practices and ensure alignment with overall business goals.
• Training and Development: Design and implement training programs to build internal capabilities and foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence among staff.
• Technology and Innovation: Leverage advanced technologies including, but not limited to capacity modeling, and possess the ability to use data analytics to enhance process efficiency, visibility, and decision-making.
• Compliance and Quality: Ensure adherence to industry regulations, quality standards, and safety protocols, maintaining a high standard of operational excellence throughout the organization.
• Benchmarking and Best Practices: Stay abreast of industry trends, benchmarks, and best practices, and apply relevant insights to drive operational improvements and maintain competitive advantage.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in operational excellence, process improvement, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Industry Knowledge: Extensive experience in operational excellence within complex, global organizations, preferably in the aviation or manufacturing industries.
• Facility Management- Experience with facility planning & optimization
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Continuous Improvement Expertise: Deep knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile) and a track record of successfully implementing these practices.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in using data to drive decision-making and process optimization.
• Change Management: Demonstrated experience in managing organizational change and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with operational excellence tools, software, and technologies, including data analytics platforms and process management systems.
