The Opportunity
We are leading the search for a Vice President of Marketing for a leading global company that specializes in outdoor and active lifestyle products. This is a pivotal role responsible for shaping and executing a global marketing strategy with a focus on growth across North America, Latin America, and Europe. You will oversee a team that drives brand consistency, expands e-commerce and DTC channels, and elevates brand perception across various markets.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Leadership: Develop and implement long-term strategies to enhance brand perception and drive consumer demand across all touchpoints.
Global Marketing Strategy: Lead a comprehensive strategy that is adaptable across diverse markets, particularly in North America, Latin America, and Europe.
Growth and Expansion: Leverage a strong North American market share to drive DTC and e-commerce growth through strategic partnerships and expansion into new regions.
Enterprise Influence: Align marketing strategies with product development, pricing, and market entry decisions to ensure a unified approach across all business units.
Performance Metrics: Improve brand awareness, Net Promoter Scores (NPS), and optimize digital platform performance globally.
Category Leadership: Spearhead growth in the e-bike category through mass retail, DTC, e-commerce, and dealer channels.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are seeking a seasoned marketing leader with a proven track record of driving growth and innovation in established and emerging markets. Key attributes include:
Strong strategic vision and the ability to execute detailed plans that support sustainable growth.
Experience leading large, cross-functional marketing teams.
Expertise in market expansion, particularly through digital and DTC channels.
Collaborative leadership style with the ability to integrate efforts across departments and global regions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven track record in a marketing leadership role, preferably in a consumer-facing, high-growth industry. Deep experience in brand-focused roles that drove commercial excellence via digital growth/performance and retail.
Strong understanding of the outdoor industry and passion for getting outside.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills – both within the marketing function and cross-functionally with category partners, leadership and the board.
Proven track record managing both multi-brand and category marketing planning and deployment as well as global marketing strategies.
Proven track record selecting and managing agency partners to drive marketing results.
Data-driven and analytical mindset ensuring that KPIs are clear and actionable.
Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative, out-of-the-box marketing strategies.
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
Financial acumen for budget management and revenue generation.
