We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-experienced candidate to join our team as the Vice President of Preconstruction. This is a unique opportunity to lead and shape the future of our preconstruction efforts in the rapidly evolving construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all preconstruction aspects of our projects, including but not limited to, estimating, planning, and design. This role is ideally suited for someone with a strong background in construction, preconstruction, estimating, multifamily, residential, and mixed-use projects.

Responsibilities:
As the Vice President of Preconstruction, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all preconstruction processes, including the development of strategies, budgets, and schedules.
2. Lead the estimating team in the preparation of accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for multifamily, residential, and mixed-use projects.
3. Collaborate with project teams to ensure that designs are in alignment with budgetary and construction feasibility constraints.
4. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the preconstruction process.
5. Implement innovative technologies and methodologies to enhance preconstruction processes and improve efficiency.
6. Provide leadership and guidance to preconstruction team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
7. Participate in the negotiation and awarding of contracts, ensuring that all aspects are in line with company standards and client expectations.
8. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in the field of preconstruction, implementing relevant practices to keep the company at the forefront of the industry.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Vice President of Preconstruction position should possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior preconstruction or estimating role, preferably within the construction industry.
3. Proven track record of successfully overseeing preconstruction processes for multifamily, residential, and mixed-use projects.
4. Exceptional leadership abilities, with experience managing and developing teams.
5. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
7. Proficiency in relevant software, including estimating and project management tools.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
9. Ability to travel as needed for projects.
