Video Engineer – Design
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Attend customer meetings and conduct site surveys.
+ Ability to translate customer requirements into functional system designs.
+ Understand architectural/construction drawings and documentation.
+ Design and engineer complex audio/video/VTC systems.
+ Provide floor plans and elevations.
+ Create engineering, programming, and installation labor estimates.
+ Will not have supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance for integration and/or installation teams.
+ Audio/Video systems configuration and testing.
Hours of coverage:
Individual shift may vary, but you will be a member of a team that provides coverage from 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Security Clearance Requirements:
+ Current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Ability to communicate and interact professionally with colleagues, project stakeholders and the client.
+ Understanding industry best practices in audio, video and control systems design/integration for conference rooms, operation center watch floors, training rooms, and VIP offices.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to assess customer needs, meet quality standards for services, and evaluate customer satisfaction.
+ Demonstrated problem solving skills.
+ Must demonstrate ability to thrive and succeed in a challenging environment.
+ Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
+ Able to interact with individuals from all levels of the organization.
+ Basic understanding of IP technologies.
+ Exceptional customer service skills.
+ Proficiency in the use of MS Office suite to include Visio and Power Point.
+ BA/BS and 4 years of experiences, or a combination of education and work experience equivalent to 8 years.
+ Experience with:
+ A/V switching systems.
+ Commercial Audio (understanding of audio theory, signal flow and gain staging).
+ DSP technology (including DANTE).
+ Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred.
+ AVIXA CTS (Certified Technical Specialist) is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
+ Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
+ Must be able to move/traverse within and between buildings and offices.
+ Must be able to position self to maintain equipment and cabling, including under the desks, while moving floor tiles, and in server closets, some of which may be confined spaces.
+ Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
Must be able to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment weighing 50 pounds or more, some equipment may require team-lift or the use of carts.
