This is a hybrid role that requires being on-site 4 days per week with 1 day remote flexibility. The role is based out of our Boston HQ and Norton Physical Retail Lab (flexibility required to travel to both). The role will also require out-of-state travel up but not limited to 15% of time per year.

About the Job
Wayfair is seeking an entry level Visual Signage Operations Associate to join our team. The Signage Associatewill support aspects of our signage operating procedures supporting our Wayfair physical retail operations.
The Signage Associate will work across the Visual team and with cross-functional partners (e.g., Merchandising, Marketing, Creative, Store Operations) to support the creation and implementation of the in-store signage program structure and standards. We are seeking a motivated, team-oriented individual to support the in-store signage processes of Wayfair’s Physical Retail Brands.
Outside of Visual requests, this role includes many of the traditional aspects of Experiential and Marketing project management, including interacting with many cross functional partners for input dependencies, juggling tight timelines, balancing priorities, and coordinating with communication and field associates on delivery and installation.
The Signage Associate has cross-functional responsibility and opportunity for growth and development in a corporate retailed setting, supporting the team’s foundational tools and processes for store expansion. As the retail portfolio grows, scope of work will vary to accommodate an increasing number of assets and transactions.
What You’ll Do:
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support the development, implementation, and management of the in store signage plan across physical landscapes to ensure that the in-store marketing strategy completes and amplifies the shopping experience for all 5 Wayfair brands
- Maintain Specialty Retail Brands signage projects
- Refine timelines with Creative Experiential teams and updating timeliness across all brands in the Visual Operations tracker. Challenge existing work flows with new innovative ideas.
- Own weekly touchpoints with Visual teams to support signage workflows.
- Support and facilitate work across signage briefs for physical retail across Wayfair’s Specialty Retails Brands, facilitating projects from conception through final approval and launch.
- Partner with the Visual Signage Operations Manager to organize assets and set foundational tools across the platform to support store expansion. Ideate and evolve tools as needed.
- Partner with the Visual Signage Operations Manager to support ad hoc Wayfair and Perigold signage projects.
- Work closely with the production team to land and evolve specifications, considerations and materiality for all physical signage elements.
- Socialize in-store signage programs to support the Visual Signage Operations team in building awareness and exposure to cross-functional partners.
- Support in-store implementation of signage in seasonal floorsets across Platform as needed. Expected to travel 15% of the time, or as needed with quarterly seasonal floorsets or as projects arise.
- Archive merchandising reports, pictures and other CXF tools to support signage work streams or collaboration with stakeholders.
- Administrative tasks include archiving files, organizing or updating signage briefs with inputs, and coordinating and owning CXF meetings as needed.
- Research new opportunities, data, and consumer insights to evolve the approach to in-store signage ensuring it maps to the customer journey, increases consideration, drives conversion, and leverages relevant technology.
Who you are
We are looking for individuals who have project management experience with exposure to owning and supporting major businesses/initiatives. This person has strong critical thinking, with a solution driven work approach to troubleshoot new topics. This person should have some experience or familiarity with:
- 1+ years of Signage, Marketing, Visual Merchandising or similar experience required
- Project Management
- Able to collaborate across all levels and teams within Wayfair to achieve objectives
- Adaptability to organizational changes and complex structures
- Able to think critically and challenge existing workflows and processes
- Evidence of “scrappy startup execution” and a “get it done” attitude when time is tight and stakes are high
- Thrives in a high growth, ambiguous environment
- High degree of integrity and confidence in one’s abilities as a visual merchandising team contributor
- Exposure to project management and able to multi-task seamlessly juggling various projects with deadlines with stakeholders against new asks
- Strong Communicator - both verbal and written
- In Store Retail Experience- Big Box / Specialty preferred
- Adobe Creative Suite familiarity preferred but not required
- General business knowledge of brick & mortar retail ecosystem preferred
