Note: The pay rate for this job is $27 - $27 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:
* Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to understand the layout of low voltage systems.
* Planning and organizing the routing of wires to ensure efficient installation and connection of various components.
* Measuring, cutting, and stripping wires to the appropriate length and preparing them for installation.
* Pulling, feeding, and securing wires through conduits, raceways, and other pathways according to specifications.
* Terminating and spicing wires using appropriate connectors and tools to establish connections between different components.
* Testing and troubleshooting wiring connections to ensure they meet electrical codes and function properly.
* Collaborating with other team members, including electricians and project managers to ensure project goals are met.
* Maintaining a clean and organized work environment and adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe workplace.
* By performing these tasks with precision and attention to details, you can contribute to the successful installation and operation of commercial low voltage systems.
* Your expertise as a low voltage technician pulling wire plays a vital role in maintaining the functionality and security of these systems.
Qualifications:
* At least 2 years of experience working with low voltage systems.
* Experience with installation and maintenance of security systems, fire alarms, and network wiring.
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
* Must have your own reliable transportation, PPE, and tools of the trade.
* Completion of a vocational or technical program in low voltage systems preferred.
