Shift : M-TR 8:00-4:30; Fridays 7:00-3:30

The role you’ll contribute:
The Volunteer Services Assistant focuses on supporting the Volunteers in the recruiting, initial/ongoing training, and daily operations of all volunteers, and the operations of the Gift Shop. Under the leadership of a Volunteer Specialist, Coordinator or Director, the Volunteer Services Assistant is responsible for assisting the coordination of services provided by volunteers to the hospital, identification and credentialing of new volunteers, scheduling of weekly/monthly/bi-annually/annual activities, including interdisciplinary team coordination. The Volunteer Services Assistant supports staffing, implementation, and facilitation of trainings, and the monitoring of adjunctive programs/therapies offered as part of the volunteer program.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Support the Volunteer Specialist, Coordinator, or Director on,
· Managing Gift Shop daily operation.
· Staffing the Front desk with designated volunteers
· Identifying appropriate volunteer placement for new volunteers.
· Collecting volunteer information, availability, skills, and maintaining an up-to-date database.
· Keeping schedules and records of volunteers' work.
· Scheduling trainings and orientation for all new volunteers.
· Organizing training and education to all volunteers.
· Developing and maintaining positive relationships with all volunteers and Team Members.
· Communicating Volunteer Services expectations and compliance standards to all volunteers.
· Coordinating adjunctive therapies (e.g., music therapy, service dogs) and programs oversight (as needed).
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :
Minimum qualifications :
· High School/G.E.D. or meaningful experience working with customer service, retail, or volunteer services.
· Valid Driver License
