WI - RN Operating Room - Cardiothoracic - Day/Evening - Alto Health Care Staffing

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in the operating room, specializing in cardiothoracic procedures. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a prestigious and Magnet®-designated facility, recognized as Wisconsin's #1 hospital and one of the nation's leading hospitals, teaching institutions, and referral centers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and deliver patient care in the operating room efficiently and effectively.
• Coordinate operating room activities to ensure seamless surgical case progression and turnover between cases.
• Implement safe, competent, and efficient care for patients and their families, adhering to policies, procedures, and standards of care.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience: Must have experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable areas (level 3 or above). Minimum of two years of acute care experience within the last three years. Experience in an Academic Level 1 Trauma center or similar size hospital is required.
• Licensure and Certification: Must hold a WI nursing license or a compact license from their permanent address state. BLS & ACLS certifications must be through the American Heart Association.
• References: Two references from recent work environments/assignments (supervisor or manager only).

Floating:

Travelers are the first to float and may have shifts scheduled in multiple units based on staffing needs. If the primary unit no longer requires staffing, shifts will be reassigned to another unit to complete the contract.

Position Details:

• Urgency: Quick Start
• Shifts: 36 hrs/wk, Day/Evening, 12-hour shifts, Monday-Friday with variations. Weekend and weekday call rotation every 5th week. Weekend call starts Friday at 3 pm and ends Monday.
• On-Call Requirement: 45-minute response time from phone call to be dressed in scrubs and reporting to the charge nurse.
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
