Job Description
We have a part-time waitstaff position open for Monday and weekends, 4pm-7:30pm.
The Waitstaff is responsible for waiting on tables, taking orders, serving food, helping residents, removing china service when serving the next course, busing tables, resetting tables, plating foods, serving beverages and desserts, cleaning workstations, and performing daily side work as scheduled or assigned. Reporting to the Executive Chef, he/she follows traditional and customary methods of providing dining room service to residents and guests.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and previous experience is a plus, but not required, as we provide on-the-job training that includes our computerized ordering system. Candidates must take and pass a Food Handlers Card test and must have fluent English speaking and writing skills, good time management skills, and an appropriate appearance and demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Greets residents when they are seated and take food and beverage orders in a fine dining atmosphere.
- Proficiently use POS system (we will provide training on-job)
- Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices
- Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures
- Demonstrates an upbeat, friendly attitude to residents, guests, and co-workers
Qualifications
- Food Handlers Card a plus, but not required at time of hire (must take and pass test)
- Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor
- Able sit, bend/stoop, and push/pull occasionally and to stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 20 pounds frequently
- Able to accept responsibility and account for actions
