Title: Warehouse Leader

General Summary:
Assists Management with daily activity goals and objectives by providing direct leadership to the warehouse and/or delivery teams. Performs a variety of general duties within assigned warehouse department. Specific duties may vary slightly between locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs all requirements of assigned department(s) (shipping, receiving, order picking, inventory, delivery, etc); may provide assistance throughout the warehouse.
- Coordinates warehouse staffing needs with Management.
- Assists with departmental cross training and in professional development of team members.
- Prepares reports and completes documentation for Management.
- As the work flow requires:
- Ensures verification takes place on all incoming and outgoing transactions.
- Receives material from vendors into the business system and maintains related records.
- Assists with unloading and loading of delivery vehicles.
- Assists with inventory management including cycle counts as required.
- Frequently lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions product weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted when stocking, loading or unloading products. Occasionally performs the same activities with product weighing up to 70 pounds. Typically bends, stoops and/or crouches on a regular basis from various heights to stock or deliver product to a customer. NOTE: if assigned to the construction product area, frequently lifts, caries or otherwise moves and positions product weighing 75+ pounds unassisted when stocking, loading or unloading products.
- Operates forklift: proper training and certification required. May also use material handling equipment (including pallet jack, dollies, handcart & conveyor).
- Assist in creating, implementing and revising procedures and work instructions.
- Supports the implementation and processes of TWL (if applicable) and the quality program.
- Cleans and maintains work area to ensure compliance to safety regulations.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two or more years of experience in warehouse operations.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, organizing, prioritizing and completing of tasks.
- Basic PC skills with MS Office products required.
- Operate computer terminal and other computer related equipment relevant to job duties.
- High level of initiative, commitment, and devotion to fulfill company mission statement.
Reporting Relationships:
Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor, Branch Manager, Operations Manager
In-Direct Reports: Assigned departmental personnel
Working Conditions: Normal warehouse environment
