Responsibilities
- Overseeing receiving and dispatching procedures for shipments
- Assigning workloads and daily tasks to Warehouse Associates and Packing/Cleaning Teams
- Communicating with Coordinators, Project Managers and Supervisors to answer shipping and receiving questions and troubleshoot problems
- Monitoring inventory and shipment transactions for accuracy
- Ensuring inventory and storage areas are clean and maintained
- Monitoring Warehouse Associates to ensure safety procedures are being followed when operating forklifts and other machinery, tools, equipment and use of various chemicals
Required Skills
Ability to delegate when assigning employee workloads
Problem-solving skills to handle customer complaints and production issues
Clear knowledge of warehouse operations
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Leadership and organizational skills to run the warehouse efficiently
Proficiency or ability to learn inventory software
Ability to remain stationary for extended periods when working on the warehouse floor
Ensure a culture of safety by enforcing safety standards and adhering to standard operational procedures.
Measuring and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to Special Services Manager
Maintain accurate inventory levels by leading regular physical counts with warehouse teams and reconcile discrepancies with the warehouse inventory system.
Responsible to report all accidents, incidents and near misses into company safety officer and/or HR
Education and Training Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and experience in implementing safety protocols.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and proficiency in using relevant software applications or internal applications as needed
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, and obtain necessary certifications if required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by operational needs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record if driving is required for the role.
Additional Skills (not required)
- Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) a plus
- Restoration Certification or experience in restoration a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend and stand for long periods of time
- No limitations with manual dexterity (ability to use hands in a skillful, coordinated way)
