Wood Personnel has partnered with a prominent distributor to identify an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager for a direct hire opportunity. This key role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse logistical operations, with a focus on inventory control, logistics management, and process optimization. The Warehouse Operations Manager will collaborate closely with the Warehouse Manager and corporate teams to ensure seamless day-to-day operations, drive efficiency, and address logistical challenges effectively.
Compensation for the Warehouse Operations Manager:
- $85, 000 to $95, 000 base salary, depending on experience
- Annual performance bonus

Responsibilities of the Warehouse Operations Manager:
- Oversee inventory control, ensuring accurate tracking of stock levels and resolving discrepancies between physical counts and system records
- Manage distribution and shipping schedules, ensuring timely deliveries and consistent inbound shipments
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, order accuracy, and delivery times, providing regular performance reports to senior management
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and enhance accuracy
- Collaborate with corporate accounting to ensure financial accuracy related to inventory shrinkage and stock adjustments
- Conduct regular audits of inventory processes and ensure compliance with safety regulations and corporate policies
Requirements for the Warehouse Operations Manager:
- Bachelor s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (preferred, not required)
- 7-10 years of experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management, with demonstrated expertise in warehouse or distribution environments
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing large teams across multiple departments in high-volume, fast-paced environments
- Strong understanding of inventory management systems and logistics software, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize processes
- Track record of successful process improvements that reduced costs, increased accuracy, or improved delivery times
- Advanced problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze operational data, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions that drive efficiency
- Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising between warehouse, accounting, and senior management teams to ensure alignment of goals and operational transparency
- Experience in compliance and safety management, ensuring all regulations and corporate policies are strictly followed, including conducting regular audits and safety checks
- Technical skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), warehouse management systems (WMS), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift quickly and multitasking is essential
