If you're a skilled operator with a knack for maneuvering steel materials with precision and safety, we want you on board! Your role will involve more than just operating a forklift – you'll be the engine behind the smooth transportation of steel within our facility, ensuring efficiency and safety every step of the way.
Pay & Benefits

• Monday thru Friday – 6:15am – 3:00pm, occasional OT on Saturday
• Position is Temp to Hire
• $17.50/Hour

Responsibilities:

1. Glide through your day as you expertly operate a sit-down forklift, seamlessly moving steel materials within our designated work area.
2. Be the master of load and unload, handling steel materials from trucks and containers with finesse.
3. Become the conductor of our steel transportation orchestra, shuttling steel products to and from various locations within our facility.
4. Keep a watchful eye on the forklift's health, conducting routine maintenance checks to ensure it's always in top-notch condition.
5. Safety is our top priority – adhere to guidelines and protocols to keep accidents and injuries at bay.
6. Teamwork makes the dream work – collaborate closely with your team to coordinate steel handling activities efficiently.
7. Maintain meticulous documentation of inventory movement and related tasks, keeping everything organized and in check.
8. Uphold all company policies and procedures regarding steel handling and forklift operation, ensuring everything runs like a well-oiled machine.

Requirements:

1. Show us your chops with proven experience as a forklift operator, especially when it comes to handling heavy steel materials.
2. Safety first! Demonstrate a strong knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to forklift operation and steel handling.
3. Flex those muscles – you'll need to lift heavy objects and thrive in a physically demanding environment.
4. Precision matters – showcase your excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
5. Communication is key – interact effectively with team members and supervisors to keep operations running smoothly.
6. Ready to go the extra mile? We're looking for someone willing to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
7. Bonus points for prior experience in a steel manufacturing or construction environment – it's music to our ears!
8. Valid forklift operator certification preferred but not required.
9.  MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN A NON-CLIMATE-CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT.
