Essential Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Specialist reports directly to the CIF Lead. As directed, the Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. Work involves most of the following: verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents; noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods; rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials; examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage; removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment. The Warehouse Specialist may operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of U.S. Army procedures and logistics information systems.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to perform various production control activities including gathering and filing records, reporting on use of materials, monitoring customer requests.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods throughout the day.
- Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
- Must be able to type using a standard keyboard to communicate through e-mail and various software applications.
- Must be able to lift/push/pull minimum of 30 pounds.
- Must be able to work in a shop where the environment is drafty, noisy, and dirty.
- May be exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment.
- Must have or be able to obtain a forklift license.
- NACI/CAC Required.
- Must provide a signed DD Form 3150 to confirm COVID-19 vaccination status and provide proof of vaccination.
Preferred Qualifications:
A strong understanding of the Army Installation Support Module (ISM) process as plus.
