Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor Trainee

Position Summary/Objective

The Warehouse Supervisor trainee position is an entry level position for someone who has the desire to grow within warehouse management or supply chain. This role is responsible for serving as a supervisor / team leader in the Shipping & Receiving department. They will also coordinate incoming and outgoing shipment activities including proper material handling, adherence to safety procedures, packaging, inventory management, record-keeping, staff scheduling and supervision.

Essential Functions

• With guidance from the Distribution Manager, supervise and lead team members with daily tasks (receiving clerks, order pickers etc.)
• Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing and other departments to optimize shipping processes
• Resolve issues regarding shipped orders
• Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies
• Use software to track, check, prioritize and route orders

  Coordinate the shipping of Sales Orders timely
• Recommend process improvement to eliminate shipping errors
• Start shipping operation daily
• Start shift meeting every morning by 7:00 am
• Determine SOs to be picked based on inventory availabilities
• Assign tasks to team members to start the day
• Ensure packing process meet customers request
• Check picking quality to avoid errors
• Allocate resources on the floor
• Actively communicate with direct supervisor and teams
• Maintain shipping materials inventory and order materials timely
• Provide monthly performance observation to team members and document all conversations
